Atmospheric Allegories
Shielding, during the pandemic, meant often wandering over to the rustic barns. There, I no longer ‘felt blue’ but escaped psychologically, to celestial realms. I’ve had my ‘head in the clouds’ ever since.
Restrictions taught resourcefulness: I utilised materials and subject matter found or viewed, within the boundaries of our home. They support sustainability and the sense of narrative in my work.
Evocative painted skyscapes, photographs and poetry are anchored to the geographical location and its landscape. By turning a rural space into a place of interest, I found beauty amongst detritus and decay.
