My paper body ornaments are formed of carefully sliced appropriated fashion imagery; visually representing the impact of our image obsessed culture on women, presenting the female form consumed by collage. The glossiness and fragility of the magazine paper is important to my practice, not only for the imagery but also the quality of the cut. I also enjoy the accidental aesthetic that the dual sided paper gives. I am playfully infiltrating the industry I am dissecting; attempting to emulate fashion photography, exploring the relationship of the female body and paper collage.
