Design and development process of a high-end
passive stereo four-way loudspeaker.

The development process of a four-way passive stereo loudspeaker is presented
throughout this thesis, containing a summary of basic audio knowledge and profound
calculations on the housing and crossover of the speaker. Additionally, all decision
processes about different occurring problems are explained in-depth with reasoning. A
MATLAB program for the housing calculations is implemented. A model of the housing is
created using Autodesk Fusion 360. The simulations are carried out with Multisim Ni.
Circuit diagrams and board plans of the crossovers are created using Autodesk Eagle.
The results are comparted to a professional crossover from a high-end audio device
retailer. With this approach, a cost-efficient high-end passive loudspeaker with optimal
user experience and versatility is developed.
