My work focuses on designing, modelling, rigging and animating characters in 3D from scratch. I am especially interested in rigging because it is a challenging process that is extremely rewarding when done correctly. My first project centred around using the Blend Shapes function in Maya to create a variety of facial expressions on a 3D character, then rigging these to custom made controllers, until finally animating the character using these controllers. My second project involved applying my existing knowledge to create a game ready character for use in Unreal Engine. This was my first experience with programming in the software, which I used in order to set up the character animations and actions.

Mae fy ngwaith yn canolbwyntio ar ddylunio, modelu, rigio ac animeiddio cymeriadau mewn 3D o'r newydd. Mae gennyf ddiddordeb arbennig mewn rigio oherwydd mae'n broses heriol sy'n rhoi boddhad mawr pan fydd yn cael ei gwneud yn gywir. Roedd fy mhrosiect cyntaf yn canolbwyntio ar ddefnyddio swyddogaeth Blend Shapes ym Maya i greu amrywiaeth o fynegiannau wyneb ar gymeriad 3D, ac yna rigio'r rhain i reolwyr a wnaed i ddewis, nes animeiddio'r cymeriad gan animeiddio'r rheolwyr hyn yn y diwedd.

Roedd fy ail brosiect yn cynnwys defnyddio fy ngwybodaeth bresennol i greu cymeriad parod i'w ddefnyddio yn Unreal Engine. Dyma oedd fy mhrofiad cyntaf gyda rhaglennu yn y feddalwedd, a ddefnyddiais er mwyn sefydlu'r animeiddiadau a gweithredoedd y cymeriad.
